Tips to Improve Your Training in Los Angeles

To become proficient at Jiu Jitsu, you must attend regularly. That’s the most basic tip for getting better. However, that being said, there are a few ways to improve your BJJ training in LA, whether you’re a beginner or advanced. Here are a few tips, that if you follow, will help you advance faster.
Train Up
All too often, people shy away from rolling with people more advanced than they are. This is exactly the opposite of what you should do. Training with people far more skilled than you requires you to advance your game faster to keep up.
Individual attention
A private lesson with your instructor can vastly improve your technique. In a private, your instructor has time to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses, and show you how to improve them. One hour can improve your skills faster than weeks of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes in Las Angeles.
Competition Is Key
Competing requires you to perform under pressure, something most people aren’t very comfortable with. This lets you see exactly where you stand in skill level. And also lets you compare yourself to others of the same belt level.
Teach Someone
If you can successfully teach a white belt a technique to the point where they can perform it 100% accurately every time, then you probably have it down. It makes you aware of every little detail of a technique.
Train with the Best
This is one step we already follow. You already know the best place to learn jiu jitsu in Los Angeles, New Breed Academy is the best place to do it.
